“Electronics & Information Technology Goods (Requirements For Compulsory Registration ) Order, 2012”
It Shall Come Into Force On The Expiry Of 6 Months From The Date Of Its Publication In The Official Gazette. Prohibition Regarding Manufacture, Storage, Sale And Distribution Etc. Of Goods:
- No One Should Indulge In Sale, Storage Or Distribution Of The Good Covered In This Act Without Registration.
- No One Should Indulge In Sale, Storage Or Distribution Of The Good Covered In This Act Without Registration.
- The Substandard Goods Not Conforming To The Specified Standard Shall Be Disposed Of As Scrap.
- Department Of Electronics And Information Technology Will Make Sure The Law Is Followed With Timely Inspections.
- The Provision Of Code Of Criminal Procedure, 1973, (2 Of 1974) Relating To Search And Seizure Shall Be Applied.
- Goods Shall Be Grouped And May Be Granted Series Of Approval Based On The Testing Of Representative Models.
- The Goods Of Registered Users Product Samples May Be Collected Randomly For Ascertaining The Conformity To The Given Standard.
- At Least One Sample From The Range Of Products Covered In The Scope Of Registration Granted Shall Be Picked Up For Testing.
- All The Test Reports Shall Be Scrutinized For Conformity Of The Sample With Respect To The Requirements Of The Specific Standard
- The Appropriate Authority Shall Also Make Available Information Regarding The Status Of Procession Publicly Available On Its Website.
